We’ve come a long way!
In early 2004, we realized there was a much greater need for furniture than we could address in our small store on
Washington Street. We also realized that having one big store would be much more fun than having two small ones and we began
looking for space.
Finding large space in Hoboken has certainly been a challenge. It took us
over four years but we finally did it. In February of 2008 we moved all of our product, from both the furniture and the kitchen
and housewares store to one store at 1414 Willow Street in Hoboken. We thank our customers for being a partner in our growth over the years. Your kind words and your green dollars
have given us the energy and the ability to grow our little store through the years. I hope we repay you with a shopping experience
you enjoy and with merchandise you find of good quality and design.

Our goal is to offer cool design products that fit the needs of the urban dweller.

Battaglia's for the Urban Home began in 1993
in an 850 square foot store at 1001 Bloomfield street in Hoboken. We began with one employee (Brian Battaglia) and the thought
that there was a need for a Home store in Hoboken.
Luckily we were correct and in 1997 we moved
to 319 Washington. The new store increased our selling space and increased our visibility on the main street in Hoboken.
In late 2000 we purchased furniture store named Mad House and Battaglia’s Home Furnishings was created.
